Direct Relief International Offers Condolences to International Rescue Committee on Loss of Colleagues in Afghanistan
Santa Barbara, CA (August 13, 2008) Direct Relief International offers its deepest condolences to our colleagues at the International Rescue Committee, who yesterday lost four of their staff in an ambush attack on one of their vehicles in Logar Province, Afghanistan.
We are shocked and outraged by this violence, and share in the sadness of these untimely deaths. We extend our most heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims, whose memory we honor for their selfless devotion to improving the lives of the Afghan people.
