Roche and Direct Relief USA have partnered since 2009 to increase access to needed medical supplies among low-income, uninsured patients with diabetes served by 200 community clinics and health centers throughout the United States. In 2012, Roche will donate ACCU-CHEK® Aviva blood glucose meters and test strips to Direct Relief USA to distribute to clinic partners. Community clinics and health centers in 36 states are participating in the program to provide their uninsured patients who are unable to afford testing supplies with the resources necessary to better monitor and manage their condition. To date, in partnership with Roche, Direct Relief has delivered over 2,300 shipments of diabetes testing supplies worth over $6 million (wholesale).
