Direct Relief and Roche Provide Supplies to Uninsured Patients with Diabetes

For the third consecutive year, Direct Relief USA and Roche Diagnostics have teamed up to increase access to needed medical supplies for 200 community clinics and health centers serving uninsured patients with diabetes. Roche will donate ACCU-CHEK® Aviva blood glucose meters and test strips to Direct Relief USA to distribute to pre-selected clinic partners in 2012. Safety net clinics in 36 states are participating in the program to provide their uninsured patients, who are unable to afford testing supplies, with the resources necessary to better monitor and manage their condition.

To date, in partnership with Roche, Direct Relief has delivered over 2,300 shipments of diabetes testing supplies worth over $6 million (wholesale).

Enrollment for this Direct Relief Program is currently capped.
