Protecting Kids in Surgery in Cambodia

During the holidays, Direct Relief was able to help get 25,000 pairs of much-needed surgical gloves to Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in Cambodia due to a generous donation from Ansell.

“Surgical gloves are such an important part of making sure you have a safe and sterile surgery, and Ansell really stepped up to help make sure that happens for thousands of kids in Cambodia”, said Direct Relief’s Programs Director Brett Williams.

The donation was sent directly from Ansell in Australia to AHC a pediatric hospital working with the Cambodian Government to provide free health care to impoverished children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

AHC was founded in 1999 and provides both in-patient and out-patient care, surgical services, intensive care treatment and antiretroviral HIV therapy.
