September is National Preparedness Month

Emergency preparedness is a key focus of Direct Relief, and the organization works to equip partners in numerous ways. Based on years of experience responding to large-scale emergencies worldwide, Direct Relief has developed programs that help address the needs of vulnerable communities before a disaster strikes.

Direct Relief’s preparedness programs are designed to ensure partner healthcare facilities have the necessary medicine and supplies on hand to respond and treat their patients immediately, rather than waiting for assistance  to arrive.

Please join Direct Relief in celebrating National Preparedness Month. Throughout the month of September, Direct Relief will share more information on preparedness programs as well as stories from partners in the field about the importance of being prepared in the face of an emergency.

Direct Relief also encourages you to be a part of the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.
