Direct Relief is partnering with The Maven Project to bring telehealth services to clinics and health centers. This partnership will allow each clinic three years of telehealth services.
The Maven Project uses telehealth technology to connect volunteer physicians from over 40 specialties to primary care physicians treating underserved patients. Physicians are able to bring de-identified cases to the Maven volunteer physicians to get immediate clinical advice and expertise. These consults work to reduce referral rates and costs to patients. The Maven Project also provides clinical mentoring and educational sessions. By better preparing primary care physicians to treat specialty cases, Direct Relief aims to help our partners build capacity and gain knowledge.
