Direct Relief International has long followed a practice of not selling, renting, trading, or otherwise disclosing donor information to any outside party. This is a longstanding practice and official policy of Direct Relief. All information is volunteered by Direct Relief’s visitors through signing up to receive updates via electronic mail or making an online donation. The visitor voluntarily submits his or her full name and email address to Direct Relief.
The individual will receive Direct Relief’s regular membership communications as detailed on the online sign-up form. All credit card and personal profile information provided to Direct Relief through its Internet software partner, Convio Inc., is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption using VeriSign as a payment gateway. SSL is a proven coding system that allows a browser to automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before it is sent. If you would like to review your personal information that is collected and/or request corrections, please contact us at info@directrelief.org or call (805) 964-4767.
