Through a long-standing partnership with Pfizer, Direct Relief supports health centers nationwide in expanding access to lifesaving vaccines and delivering culturally responsive education — helping more people stay protected and strengthening the communities that need it most.
Expanding Healthcare Access
Direct Relief partners with both Pfizer Inc. and The Pfizer Foundation through complementary approaches that help expand access to medicines and healthcare while supporting community‑led health solutions for underserved patients around the world.
The Pfizer Foundation is a charitable organization established by Pfizer Inc. It is a separate legal entity from Pfizer Inc. with distinct legal restrictions.

Key Initiatives
Naloxone Access
Direct Relief and Pfizer have worked to provide over 1 million doses of opioid overdose-reversing naloxone to US health centers and clinics.
COVID-19
Pfizer provided needed antibiotics and vasopressor therapies for Direct Relief’s COVID-19 ICU Rx Modules, which the Society of Critical Care Medicine endorsed and were crucial during the pandemic.
INNOVATION AWARDS IN COMMUNITY HEALTH
Funded by the Pfizer Foundation and implemented by Direct Relief, the initiative provides award funding to community health centers and free & charitable clinics to support innovative approaches to delivering infectious disease care to underserved populations.

IMPACT
Each year, the Innovation Awards in Community Health recognize health centers pushing the boundaries of what community care can look like. The impact reports below capture the outcomes of that work — the patients reached, the barriers addressed, and the lasting changes made possible through the Direct Relief–Pfizer partnership.
